Welcome Tea 2011
Hi Everyone!
Welcome to NTU Piano Ensemble! We would like to invite you to our Welcome Tea 2011.
To all music lovers, join us as we bring to you Ensemble repertoire for the Piano. We will be showcasing duets and two-piano works, as well as a 6 hands piece Romance by Rachmaninoff, and 8 hands arrangement of Beethoven’s Overture to Egmont, Op. 84.
Also, catch our guest performer, soloist local pianist Azariah Tan, at our concert as he performs Schumann’s Fantasie in C (2nd movement).
This year, we have a special collaboration with NTU Welfare Services Club. All proceeds for the concert will go to 2 portfolios, under NTU Welfare Services Club, which serve the hearing impaired community. Proceeds will go to the funding of an overseas adventure camp for the hearing impaired, as well as the support of a tuition program for hearing impaired students.
Volunteers from RSPHI will also be putting up a songsign performance, to showcase how music is expressed using sign language. Don’t miss this spectacular performance!

Introduction of NTU CAC
Nanyang Technological University Cultural Activities Club (NTU CAC) Piano Ensemble was founded in 2002 with a vision to promote piano appreciation by bringing piano music to the NTU community and beyond. Since its formation, it has engaged many piano enthusiasts in exploring different genres of fine music with a focus on duets and two-piano works.
NTU CAC Piano Ensemble has performed in numerous concerts on the NTU campus and in external locations such as the Jubilee Concert Hall and the Esplanade Recital Studio. It also embraces the spirit of serving the community, and to this end has conducted activities such as free-attendance performances at Raffles Hospital, St. Joseph’s Home, and Jurong Bird Park.

Nanyang Technological University Welfare Services Club (NTU WSC) is one of the three non-academic constituent clubs in NTU and the largest organization that provides an umbrella of voluntary activities and social work.
Camp OutReach (COR) and Regular Service Project for the Hearing Impaired (RSPHI) dedicate their efforts to the Hearing Impaired (HI) community. COR strives to empower via overseas expeditions. RSPHI endeavors to maximize the potential of the HIs and to ignite the volunteers’ passion for the cause.
